I'm afraid I just can't make it to this years convention. I was really looking forward to it, but oh well. People who don't have jobs, just don't deserve vacations. I'll have to stay at home. I know my friends were willing to pay my way, but I'd have to find somewhere for Dan (my room mate) to go as he and my girlfriend (my other room mate) would

On the contrary, I believe those around you are more selfish; asking you to give up things so they can have cigerettes. First your xbox, and now the convention. As well as so many other things, such as not being mature enough to spend 3 days together without any problems. And thats really sad. Under normal circumstances I'd say fuck 100 dollars, you only need that much to pay reg. AND food, but you get the reg. fee back, so take 70 or 60 in the knowledge that although you only have 20 bucks for 4 days on the second day you'd have that 40 back. and you can stick that in your pocket and now spend it, but take it back home. But unfortuantely these aren't normal circumstances, Seeing as mike and I have cancelled the room and are planning on sleeping in the back of our respective cars, it's probably for the best.

No, not at all upset about anything you said. Mind you it was my idea to get rid of my xbox, as well as it was my idea to cancel my vacation. It really is for the best, I just don't have the money.
