Well, I didn’t complete *any* of the reading challenges I intended to complete this year. That’s new. Usually I don’t finish all of them, but I at least manage to finish most of them. I have a few other trip posts to write soon, but let’s get on with the one you all care about - after years of talking about it, missile_envy and I finally went together to Universal in Orlando and the two Harry Potter parks. She’d been to Hogsmeade before, but not Diagon Alley, and I hadn’t been to either park before.

My paid account is up here on LJ and I’m caught in a quandary. I can’t decide if I should renew or not. Clearly, I rarely post anymore. And even if I did, I’m not sure this is really where people are anymore. Messi (and the rest of the Argentina National team) has been in DC all week. I chose to stalk him before most of the city figured out he was here. And by stalk I mean, go to the bar in the hotel where he was staying. I'm happy just knowing I was under the same roof ( Read more... )

Ok, I'm reading, not writing, tonight (at least at the moment) but I just have to say that I find HP fanfic to be just like a warm comforting hug. It's just so...wonderful.

For the first time in MONTHS I feel like writing. And I really need to go to bed, because I highly doubt the government is going to be closed two days in a row. I can always hope, but... highly doubtful.

Unsurprisingly I’ve fallen behind already in the Snowflake challenge. Here’s me catching up with days 3, 4 and 5.
