"Shifuku" are the fabric bags that are made for individual Chaire (tea containers used for thick tea) and they are often made from old or reproductions of historical fabrics that have particular names, stories and affiliations. And the email has prompted me to come back and do something about it. Reset my password and deleted the minecraft spam who or whatever it was posted having broken into my account. Taking my time but still growing
It's been a long while since I last wrote. I will try to write at least monthly and people are welcome to encourage updates. Saffrons sprouting again
Well it's been the better part of a year since I last posted. The garden continues growing despite an earlier small plague of grasshoppers that stripped back my persimmon's foliage and severely munched my fig tree. The fig's recovered well, the persimmon is leafless and wintering so I suppose I will have to wait and see if it survives ( Read more... )
