I had an email from this platform reminding me it has been *nineteen years* since I started an account here.
This account has been idle for lot of them - I've grown and learned a lot since I started. It's been interesting learning who I am, what is important to me and watching that change over time. I'm on a lot of social media platforms, I used them for many things.
But I've been thinking of elements of Tea Ceremony I've been learning, and there's a few things that I want to share, solicit and store English information on particular aspects as I learn of them, and possibly LiveJournal is place for me to do so: to connect, share and interact through Tea a bit more - something I've been studying the last four or so years now. Usucha tea ceremony practice: Leftmost image Okiawase (the "landscape" made by the teabowl and its contents, and the tea container in front of the cold water container. Top Right: flowers from the garden - dandelion and marsh buttercup leaf, Middle Right: 水無月 a summer sweet on a mulberry leaf, Bottom Right: a ceramic incense container in the form of a water bucket. So old friends from prior bouts of activity - I hope you are still there and a little curious. New acquaintances who might find this via a search or elsewhere: Welcome. I hope you are curious about fabric and sweets and other adjacent Tea Ceremony things as I think I am going to make a little trove, one post at a time here.よろしくおねが
