Went to Borders at the Curve in an attempt to find Popcorn Issue #3 which is supposedly out I think. But couldn't find it, heck, couldn't even back copies of the old one anywhere at all. So instead, splurged some money on Kashimashi Omnibus vol.1 and Runaways vol. 2.

As predicted, Saki uses a multi-combo to do an instant-kill on Flonne Koromo, and thus win the tournament for Kiyosumi (duh, no suprises at all how it'd end). I don't get how Koromo had activated her Ultra move and just caused bad luck for, what, one round? I don't find the gambling-competition genre particularly interesting, be it mahjong, blackjack, poker, whatever. So today on my random gogoanime.com fling, I chose Saki, well maybe because of the moé involved and all.

Five episodes later; I can't stop watching! Gah!

Adding Rinko Ueda as a shoujo mangaka I admire apart from Ai Morinaga (even though I had read a bit of her past works, Ryo, it wasn't as good as her current one; Hadashi de Bara wo Fume). Lately I haven't been getting any new shounen manga whose style immediately attract my eyes' attention like Soul Eater or Kekaishi. Having no problems with anime ( Read more... )
