Okay, the whole "the place gets creepier at night" bit seemed a bit farfetched when Kagura told her about it, but she certainly didn't seem like the type to make up weird stories. When the intercom clicked on again after the lights went out, though, Minako found herself a little more willing to believe. The way the man's voice went from normal-kinda-smarmy to creepy-and-threatening reminded her more than a little of certain people she'd encountered in the past, people who'd seemed entirely normal and boring until they turned around and tried to suck out someone's soul or whatever. Clearly this was the kind of situation that required the intervention of a fighter for love and justice, but...where did she need to go?
The only thing to be done was to head out and explore for herself. Maybe she couldn't transform. Maybe she didn't have any of the other senshi here to help her out. But she couldn't just do nothing, and transformation or not she was still Sailor Venus. From what she'd seen of her roommate Minako suspected that Kagura might

After giving Minako the basics, Kagura was almost shocked at how quickly the girl ran out of the room once the doors unlocked. It was as if she was anxious to get herself hurt, or worse! It would be downright awful if Kagura found herself with another new roommate come tomorrow.
She took a little longer gathering her things before she headed out. No one had answered her bulletins, not Ritsu, not Bridget, not even Haine or Badou. At least Brainy was ok, but... it worried her that so few of her friends and even family were responding.
Was it better to go it alone? Or should she stay in for the night? She hesitated a moment at the door, flashlight in hand. But the thought of Bridget or Ritsu going it alone or trying to, was enough to spur her on.
A split second after the lights clicked off, Taura's flashlight clicked on. She stood up, carefully lacing on her claws in silence. Visitors tomorrow. Would not-Bel be back again, trying to convince her that this was all an elaborate fantasy? That Katherine had wanted to escape so badly she'd stepped outside of her own mind to do so?
It wasn't an unfamiliar concept. No one on Jackson's Whole could be innocent of what happened to people on a planet where humanity was no guarantee of self-ownership. And those of us who don't look human even easier to dismiss. But being someone -- anyone -- else had never appealed to her. Someone more beautiful, someone without a time-bomb in her genetic makeup -- all of those were things she would have liked to be, but never at the cost of being Taura. Even before Miles had given her a name to put on her identity. She'd been Nine, not Katherine Jackson, and she rememberedOnce she was done with her claws and her thoughts, she padded over to the door, silent in her oversized sneakers, and

Cissnei was finishing off her food when the lights snapped off. She huffed softly, setting down the cutlery immediately and went over to grab the last few things that she needed, rather glad for Taura's flashlight. She grabbed her own flashlight, preferring to have the extra with her even if she never used it. The radio was slipped into her pocket as well, switched on low. After last night, she was curious. She didn't necessarily intend to follow anything that it said, but she wanted to know what was being said. She liked being in the loop.
She inclined her head and grinned at Taura, spinning the shuriken between her fingers. "I think we shall," she agreed as she stepped outside.
[I would move them but I cannot remember at all where they're supposed to be going exactly to meet people ^^;]
Taura instantly pulled ahead, her long legs chewing up tile floor with the appetite of a starving man. She listened; Cissnei was keeping up all right, so she headed out into the main women's hall without another word.
Listening to Landel over the intercom never got any less creepy, no matter how often Yukari had to listen to it. He was always hinting at something, and no matter what it was, it never lead to anything good; yet he never outright said what it was, leaving them all to find out what was going on for themselves. The rumbling thunder outside didn't help; it was like the cheap effect the stupid movie had been missing the entire time.
Haha, right, she couldn't be afraid just because some dumb thunder rolled around. What was she, eight? Yukari just kept in mind that maybe she should try to stay indoors tonight.
After getting dressed into her usual school uniform for the night, grabbing her bow, and the Evoker, Yukari pressed on forward. Hopefully she wouldn't have to use any of her weapons during the night, but she felt so much better knowing she had them. She clicked on her flashlight, illuminating her way into the hall.
It seemed everyone was getting new roommates but her. Not that Yukari didn't mind the extra time to sleep. Still, when the announcement buzzed on, the youkai woke up. Already dressed, this time back in her purple dress with gloves, parasol, and of course hat, she only took a moment to check she had everything she'd need before sweeping out of the room and down the hall to Sheena's room.
Whimsically, she decided to knock rather than just barge in - she'd teased the girl enough on the bus and there'd be plenty of opportunity later.
"Oh, Sheena~ Are you decent or shall I come inside anyway?" she called out in a singsong voice, probably a little more loudly than the ninja would appreciate.
The ninja's roommate had left quickly, and Sheena hadn't minded how quiet she'd been during dinner. Her mind was full of many things, none of them the Yukari that was her roommate, but more the Yukari that was hers. She was still irritated at the youkai for what she'd done on the bus. It was quite unfair, so she decided to get back at her a little.
The door opened immediately upon the youkai's knock, Sheena anticipating it given what she was picking up from Yukari's mood. She grabbed her wrist, yanked her inside and kicked the door closed behind her. Less than a breath later, she had pinned the youkai against the side of the closet and was kissing her.
Okay, so maybe it really wasn't getting back at Yukari, but damn did it feel good.
Having none of the same advantage as the ninja, Sheena's actions came as a complete surprise to the youkai. Even if Sheena had done this a few times before, it had always been with provocation - the fact that she had wound the girl up for it on the bus before escaping her until now.
Surprise, however, was matched by excitement and quickly replaced by enjoyment as she kissed back, free hand coming to hold the ninja's waist. There was a muffled chuckle as amusement kicked in as well, muffled though because Yukari had no intention of breaking the kiss as long as the ninja wanted to hold it.
It continued for a bit longer, the ninja pressing it deeper as she wanted to taste the youkai and try to steal her breath. And then she suddenly broke it, eyes narrowed to slits as she spoke.
"That was what I refused to do on the bus. Don't you ever do that to me again."
Another night, another time of what if's of the past and ill-conceived plans of the present. Normally, Ange would take this opportunity for an early rest. Quiet such as this was a possibility to exploit in contemplation and eventual oblivion. It wasn't as though she had anything else to do; she had no goals to chase after, no friends to keep her awake.
In this place, however, a nightly venture was almost a requirement. Mulling about one's usual business in bed did not feel quite as welcome, as if doing so was anomalous to the way of things. To be honest, it was as if something was driving her to move and search around. And if the Head Doctor's words were of any indication, now would be best chance to be awake.
Thus, as soon as the locks clicked, she took up her flashlight. Without sparing a glance back, the girl went out into the hallway.
