So, countessaleska  and Elektra and I sat down to watch the American Life on Mars.  We made it up until the point that "Gene" punches "Sam" in the gut in a remarkable defiance of relative body masses . . . at which point we all groaned in agony, turned off the TV, and watched gerbils chew up cardboard tubes for a little while instead.

I finally steeled myself and went to see the online vid clips of the new American Life On Mars . . . and I just don't think I can do it.  I just don't think I can handle seeing a show of which I'm extremely fond getting so . . . mangled.
