Yes, it's true -- while I've been off-LJ, I've gone over to the pony side of the Force, as it were. Since I don't participate in the fandom, I wouldn't say I'm a full-blown Brony by any means, but I enjoy the show and can see why it's developed an adult fandom. I also think it's worth reccing to anyone who hasn't given it a shot.

Huh. Never got into the books because a) Martin still hasn't finished them and I don't feel like waiting in agony for the next installment; and b) because Martin, while a *brilliant* writer, also tells stories that are depressing as hell and I didn't feel like going through the emotional wringer. . . . at least when it comes to cliffhangers. Apparently transmission of the next series of DW is going to be split between spring and autumn, for the express purpose of giving viewers MORE time to freak out over a mid-season plot twist/cliffhanger.
