Renji was out of his gigai and on his way towards the roaring spiritual pressure of Ichigo before you could blink. He wasn't as close to Orihime as some of the others, hell he'd only spoken to the human woman a handful of times. However, he had gone into Hueco Mundo for Orihime and he would storm across Manhattan for her as well ( ... )

For his part, Ichigo was barely able to keep himself from going off and finding Gin and ripping his to shreds right the fuck now. He'd been able to keep Inoue from being taken the first time around; he'd been unable to keep Rukia safe and with them in this damn city. He couldn't fail again.

Screw the waiting. Unable to contain himself further, he used the substitute shinigami badge to knock himself out of his body and stormed down the hall and out of the apartment building just in time to see Renji and Chad.

"I'm not wasting it," he said sharply. "Trust me. Ichimaru's going to get what's coming to him. He's long overdue."

Naoki's steps were measured and calm as he approached the group, going shirtless for the first time since the Vortex World. If any were to listen, it wouldn't sound any different from normal. Gravel crunched lightly underfoot, muffled shffs as his sneakers gripped the pavement. A slight rustle as his pants whispered against the air.

Sight would tell another story.

His eyes and jaw were set, and his markings glowed brightly as if to make up for his eyes not flashing in determination. The black stayed neatly within its borders, but every so often, there was a trembling under the surface, a threat that could burst forth at any notice.

He was here to fulfill a promise to YukoIchigo. No matter what else the future held, his promises were to be kept...especially if they involved saving a worldlife.

He was here because Chiaki and IsamuTatsuki werewas his friendsfriend ( ... )

Spin didn't know them man who had posted the message. He didn't know the people who were assembling the group. He barely even knew the girl who had been kidnapped. But that wasn't about to stop him. She was in trouble, and if he could do anything to help her, he was going to.

All of his ability to hear the soul's music had supposedly vanished with Spin's entry into this city, but the overwhelming emotion from the group... well, something made it awful easy to find them. The Agent approached the group--well, the two people present--slowing down as he neared. "I don't know if you need another hand," he started, forgoing introductions, "but I'm here if you need me."

Chad nodded to Renji, clearly in agreement with the other mans plan. While it did sting a little to once again be asked to stay behind, he was practical enough to realize that he was still not at a level where he could take on a captain ( ... )

For his part, Naoki hung back in an overwatch position, taking a wide vantage point to maximize his chances of spotting a threat. This was harder than he'd expected, though - the room was flooded with Magatsuhi from all the hot-bloodedness. Everyone was worried, everyone was angry, everyone was determined...

That left him with his nonexistent skills at surveying the land.

The place looked about ready to fall apart with any motion past breathing. The crabs wouldn't have much advantage, though - the walls were about as bad as the floor.

"Be slow," he cautioned. "Focus difficulty only...need time to examine."

Spin was following after Chad, slow and still unsure. He knew he could get through this, if only he could tell what was coming. That was what Spin was good at, if anything; getting around obstacles.

The Agent surveyed the area. This was where she was being kept, too. This Gin guy...

"Traps, I can handle," he murmured. "Keepin' light on our feet'll make a world of difference."

Moving with the other two, Chad's eye's roamed over the building, taking note of every detail. As they moved down the hallway, he felt Orihime's reiatsu, at once bright and at the same time tainted with fear, grow stronger.

Suddenly Chad was distracted by the sensation of the floor sagging under him. Holding up one large arm, he looked down and said, "I think there's a trap ahead. Be careful."

Beat The Crap Out of Ichimaru Thread Here dreadthered April 15 2009, 01:03:14 UTC
He gave Sado a nod before turning to follow Ichigo through the door.

As soon as the plan was set a feral sort of grin crossed Renji's expression. Damn, he hadn't had action like this in awhile and he was so ready to give Ichimaru what he had coming to him. He resisted the urge to shout out to Ichimaru...although if he didn't show up soon Renji might start yelling...and that wouldn't be good for anyone.
