As I typically do, I had a party on Black Friday to celebrate my birthday. 38 people turned up throughout the day. The menu was as follows.

1. I returned to the brisket I made for Supper Club back in January for a third time. I managed to fit an eight pound brisket in the slow cooker. It was delicious. There were no leftovers.

Chorizo Puffs. Used a lovely hard cheese called Idiazakel (approximately, the cheese shop guy's handwriting is on par with mine, which is to say, terrible).

"Bacon wrapped filet mignon" - the greatest party snack ever. Ate many of them at the party that my cohost Ron threw for his wife Emily's birthday. Oh my. The office holiday party at the HOB was pretty fun. For once the band was quite good, although their volume did make talking next to impossible. They were the Spazmatics - an 80s cover band that did so well that they started franchising, resulting in varying lineups that can be hired out for corporate events. I had a really good weekend two weekends ago. On Friday 11/18 butterandjelly, Micah & myself headed to the Palace at Auburn Hills to see Bon Jovi in concert. The traffic was utter crap on the way there, but I managed to sneak the car into the VIP parking area right in front of the building so getting out proved quite simple.
