I think that's why I'm writing this - the show left us with all this grief. How could Luke not feel the same?

Oh, I love Holden here; glad he and Luke had this talk. And it's great to hear what he said about Reid--how he made him feel.

Holden's one of my favorite characters. I like the kind of father he is to Luke, and the lengths he's willing to go to support him.

The Ash/Holden talk was wonderful and moving and I especially loved this part:
"But Reid broke your heart."

"Yeah," Ash softly replied, "Reid broke my heart. But the people of this town broke the rest of me."

Beautiful chapter<3. I can't wait for Thanksgiving dinner. That's bound to be awkward XD.

Yeah, it probably will be. But a couple things are bound to happen over the couple of days between this chapter and Thanksgiving. :)

Yeah, you've just broken me. :( Love the Holden/Ash talk. I'm glad Ash said those things to Holden because I think sometimes parents need to hear those things from their kids.

I'm both looking forward to and dreading Thanksgiving. Like alissablue said, that's going to be awkward.

Ash has seen Emma, Holden, Lily, etc. But typically not in a huge group. I think it's liable to be overwhelming to a degree. Maybe a little intimidating.
