J and I asked for and received a wonderful Cuisinart food processor for Christmas. I've never had one before--any recipe ideas? (Adaptable to be vegetarian/healthy-ish?) We're back home after spending five-ish days with my parents for Christmas. It was a very nice trip--honestly, probably the most relaxing and enjoyable Christmas in recent memory. So, Wednesday I found out that I accidentally signed up to be a fairy at the boy's school festival today. I say "accidentally" because I signed up to be an "adult guide" for Fairyland (which is the non-scary haunted house analogue for the littler kids). The boy just corrected himself mid-conversation from using "horrifying" to "horrific." I don't think I've ever considered the distinction, myself. Let us recall that he is ten. Also, as an aside, he's getting braces put on his teeth today, probably.

The animals are all acting weird--I really hope it's not because we're about to have an earthquake. That would suck extra because J is out of town till tonight...

My MIL's flights have been canceled because the Air France pilots are on strike. We're all super disappointed, and I have no idea when or if she'll manage to reschedule because she'd already pushed some drug and radiation treatments back so that she could come... So frustrating!
