I finally went all the way to Purcell Rd on the Badger State Trail bike route that heads southbound out of Madison.  Purcell marks the end of the 'new' paved section and the beginning of the older crushed-limestone portion of the trail and roughly the half-way mark between Madison and the next major town Belleville.  I'm thinking if I want to do ( Read more... )

Today was the North Side 'Ride the Drive' event

I was thinking of wimping out and loading the bike onto my car's bike rack then riding when I got to the north side but instead I rode to the north side, did 1 'loop' of the Ride the Drive and rode back.  Each loop was just over 5 miles.

After work I rode to a poll worker debriefing for chief inspectors.   A lot of things were discussed and I wished I had brought something to take notes with because other places had some pretty good suggestions.  For instance:
- one place doesn't put ballots in secrecy sleeves but offers them if voters want to use them.  The sleeves are a bit clumsy ( Read more... )

A couple bicycle trips I forgot to note down

A few days ago I went downtown to see one of those political rallies.  4.7 miles
And yesterday I went to two of the three Bratfests going on this weekend.  6.4 miles.

11.1 miles for those trips
43.0 mi season

I'm going to try to get in a ride today before it gets too hot.
