Mickey's Brunch in Madison - Testing Bike Route Map

Jun 24, 2012 16:50

After work my roommate Aaron wanted to go to a brunch at a place called Mickey's on Williamson St.  They apparently have a very good Sunday brunch menu.  I tried their 'tofu scramble' because I kinda wanted to try something different.  I won't simply say it was good, instead I'll say it's probably one of the most satisfying thing I've eaten in a long time.  The only drawback was that for some reason the service was unusually slow that day.  Nonetheless I'll certainly make an opportunity to go there again.

Mickey's is apparently famous for having the best 'Bloody Mary' in town.  It was about 11:30AM and almost everyone in the restaurant was having Bloody Marys.  I've never really tried one before but middle of the day seems a bit early for that sort of thing.  It didn't stop Aaron however.

After that Aaron was saying he wanted to go see one of the new movies that just came out this week -- either "Brave" or "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter".  I considered it however today was one of the few opportunities I've had in way too long to get in a good bike ride so I suggested some time later in the week.  I took the same route where I got pooped out on after about 5 miles and turned around.  Was feeling much better this time and kept going.

12.3 miles today
81.9 miles for season

Trying something new, you can see the route I took here: https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=216103918125883046507.0004c33e69c6993d74949&msa=0&ll=43.026737,-89.309235&spn=0.126996,0.316544
