[Lucas finds himself snarled in strings of light and tangled in tinsel. What is being a pushover? He'd only really wanted to just compliment the hat... The boy will glance down at the decorations and blink.]

Um.

So all of this is for... Christmas? That was the gift-giving holiday, right?

Yes, yes, that's the one. All of these things are very important for the Christmas experience.

[He still looks a little blank, but Lucas will nod.]

OK! ...It's an important holiday because it makes a lot of people happy, right? So... they'll all be happier the nicer it looks.

[Lucas will stare very intently at the Doctor's work before moving off to another tree to replicate the job. ...It's a passable effort. After he practices on a few, the Doctor may notice that the bottom halves of the trees Lucas gets to are quite nice... while everything above 6 feet is totally naked.]

Generally, it's important to deck the entire tree. Otherwise it gets a little depressing.

[Wow okay, Doctor. Think those lights are bright enough? Good thing Edward is wearing sunglasses like a total douchebag would at night or else he'd be blinded.]

Quite a display.

Isn't it! Amy showed me it on... erm, the video thing on the internet... you know the one!

And I thought it was just brilliant and so I tried to do it to the TARDIS, but traveling through the vortex blew out all the lights.

Pity. [He furrows his brow, reaching into his jacket and withdrawing a small box, wrapped in green gift-wrapping paper, offering it to the Doctor.]

Perhaps you can make it up to her with this.

[Takes it and inspects it before giving it an experimental lick]

What's this now?

No, I suppose that was one thing you did always manage to hit.

[She'll take a string of lights. She'd never really been terribly into CHristmas when she lived alone. Now... it's going to be strange, spending it here]

Are you planning to run these all off the TARDIS's power supply then?

Of course! She doesn't mind at all! Encourages it, actually. Sexy loves Christmas.

Good. I shudder to think what all of this would do to the house's wiring.

[wow wow. this is almost as bad as that time Hong Kong regained that blinding, gaudy tower that was stuck in their front yard...]

My heart goes out to your neighbors.

[NO CHARLES. THIS IS A CHRISTMAS ZONE. PROTECTIVE HEAD GEAR MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.]

C'mon, Charles, get in the Christmas cheer. Well, as cheery for you as it gets, which might just be a day with less insults.
