TO: Witch Weekly Publications
FROM: Lily Evans, Hogwarts

Dear Witch Weekly,

I'm afraid that there's been a mistake in your owl service. I have no interest in belonging to your monthly book club. I did not order any books from you last month Hah! as if I'd be caught dead reading a book called 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Malfunction'. ( Read more... )

Hee! *is tickled by the response* I was looking through Remus's letters (in reponse to a certain application) and I spotted this one. I'm pretty sure you wrote it before I had started with Lily and so I thought it would be fun to have her respond to it.

Remus had better show up! Lily has to give him the coupon. ;D

*drags Remus in kicking and screaming*

*sits quietly in the common room, looking like he is reading his Potions notes but is probably actually daydreaming about Sirius*

*walks over quietly, and sits down across from him*

*clears her throat*

Em, Remus?

*mischievious look in her eyes*

I think I have something of yours that was sent to be by mistake.

You win. :p

*picks up book*

The Pureblood Heart? Evans, I never took you for one of those frippery birds.

*grins* Thanks. Lily will be around shortly to respond to Peter's latest letter. :P

*resists urge to snatch the book from Peter*

*reaches over calmly and takes the book from him*

I'm not! I don't normally read these. It's Alice's book, I'm em, just borrowing it. For... you know, research purposes.

*faint red blush stains her cheeks*

And I should mention... Remus first wrote a letter about this; Lily's just responding. The credit for this plot-line comes from him. :)

Well, you're both awesome so it works. :)

*grins at her frustration*

I was going to read that! I need to know how to, what is it, arouse a witch's turgid passion.

Wait, is that what you were researching? We should compare notes.

*adores Lily*

*quietly*
Lily - did they actually send you any of the books? Because I'd be happy to take them off your hands *cheeks slightly red* not for me, for the girls in Slytherin of course.

*adores Rabastan back* Glad to still see you around! *snuggles*

They did send me this. *passes him the copy of the Pureblood Heart* I was looking through it, for um... *quietly* for tips with Evan- we haven't been getting along as well lately. But it wasn't much help- you can have it if you want though. Maybe the girls of Slytherin will get more out of it than I did.

*snuggles* I'm hard to get rid of, like a stain!

*looks down at the book, nose slightly wrinkled*
What's the plot? I mean, for the Slytherin girls and everything.

*glances up at her, worried look flashing across his face*
What's wrong with you and Evan?

And that's a good thing! :)

*sighs* It's about a Muggleborn witch who falls in love with this rich pureblood wizard from a wealthy father. There's a mix-up because at first he thinks she's this heiress he's supposed to marry and they fall in love. Then he finds out that she's really Muggleborn but he says that he still loves her no matter what her background. But his parents won't let them marry. So they plan to elope but then at the end she finds out that she's really the illegitimate child of another pureblood man and the scullery maid who's a descendent of Salazar Slytherin... and so it all works out in the end because her bloodline is fine.

*blows a sigh of disgust* It's a load of rubbish really... but it's something the pureblood girls in Slytherin would like, I'm sure.

Oh.. *uneasily* Evan and I... just a bit of a rough spot. All relationships have them, right? We'll get through it. *smiles brightly*

Dear Lord. You do know that you are fantastic, don't you? I'd forgotten all about that letter.

*raises his eyebrows*
*grins*

*preens* ;) I was looking through some old letters and noticed this and just couldn't resist having Lily add her two cents in.

*matches his grin*

So... Black. What's your stance on romance books?

LOL. :D So fabulous.

*eyebrows raise up, completely confused by the question*
Erm... what?

*enjoying his confusion*

I was just wondering... is it only Remus, or do all you boys enjoy reading them? Do you read them aloud to each other in your dorm? Considering how ridiculous the plots are, I don't doubt they'd provide a lot of humour.
