You know, up until this point, Basil was a bit of a punching bag in the series. I think this was the first fic where I really felt that he had come into his own! ...you know, I was going to try and edit the double entendre out of that sentence, but I believe I'll leave it just as it is. XD

I was almost in tears by the end of this chapter,happy tears of course. So basil throughout this chapter is amazing he is quite the actor if i do say so myself. And i loved how drastically he changed toward the end when he saw that victory was within his reach. And tjen afterwards i couldnt help but wonder if he was as happy as ratigan that their game hadnt ended yet...?
