I can't even tell you how happy this review made me. I've had it sitting in my inbox for days, and I keep rereading it, tickled pink every time. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to leave me such thoughtful and generous comments!

You've mentioned nearly everything that I worked the hardest on, and that's the best compliment of all. I really struggled to keep this series as canon as possible. I didn't want the dark tone to seem artificial or forced, but an extension of the darkness that already exists in the film. Thank you so much for commenting on that in particular, it means a lot.

Whenever I write their dialogue, I do my utmost to imagine those voices speaking those words. I've written a few lines that I think are great, but when I play it back in Ratigan's actual speaking voice, I realize that it doesn't work for him, and I rewrite it. Too often I see fanfiction where the characters all have the same voice-- the voice of the author-- and I really want to avoid that pitfall. Nothing ruins this pairing like the wrong voices! Their banter is the key to their relationship!

I really, really love your note about Ratigan's outer motives and inner ones being so close, but so far away--- excellent point! And Ratigan as the prissy girlfriend is fantastic, I love it. I definitely intended for the pupils of his eyes to turn into hearts at the end of this one, so I'm really glad you got that mental image!

I have no regrets about waking up your beast. This pairing is awesome, and the more people who love it, the better!

Again, thank you so, so much for your wonderful words, I really appreciate it. This comment has put me in a permanent good mood since I received it. I hope the rest of the series lives up to your expectations!

Oh no

Oh no no no no no no no no no

This is bad, very bad. Bad bad bad.

You have responded. You've engaged me in conversation.... I suppose I should have warned you, but it is to late now.

You will never ever be rid of me.

Over the course of the next week or so, I will be forced to meticulously read and comment on all your GMD stories. Unfortunately, you will soon find your inbox flooded with large, overly picked apart reviews of each of your stories, bad grammar and spelling included. You will find random private comment conversations invaded by this random stranger who has now invaded your live journal..

You fed the stupid animal, and now its going to come mewling back at your door every night until you answer... and that will only provoke it more...

I blame you...

(PS THANKS SO MUCH FOR RESPONDING SO COMPLETELY AND THOUGHTFULLY I'M SO HONORED AND HAPPY AND OMG CAPS LOCK IS SO AWESOME!)
