Aspyr is finally releasing patches to fix the Quicktime compatibility issue, but they haven't got up to BV yet and I didn't want to downgrade to OfB. I managed to get my game back only because my cd drive miraculously revived itself today, allowing me to archive/reinstall OSX from disc ( Read more... ) -

Oh. Crap.
...so I come across this handy warning literally minutes after downloading my system updates. Head, meet desk. Basically, Quicktime 7.6 conflicts with some games, including The Sims 2. I tried to revert to 7.5 with Pacifist, but it didn't work. Then I tried to do the more complicated looking method, backing up and rebooting from disc ( Read more... ) -
