the disjunction I've missed about LJ
I've been looking at many of my LJ friends' journals. Most - not all - seem to stop around 2008. I'm not being judgmental about this, after all I stopped being active a few years before this. But it's interesting. Isn't 2008 when Facebook really hit mainstream?
Is LJ relevant when so many people share so much stuff via Facebook and Twitter? These ( Read more... ) -
On the bus
Since my last post here, a few things have changed in my life. I've moved from the Blue Mountains near Sydney to Australia's capital city, Canberra. I moved to Canberra to start a new government library job. That lasted about 10 months before I transferred into a different government department. Ironically, I found this in Vox here. I'm not entirely sure if it is genuine. And I'm not really sure what the point of this post is - is it trying to be reassuring? If so, I don't think it does a good job. -
today's horrible public transport experience
My current job is winding up and so this is the last Saturday that I'll be working. After this morning's experience, I am so glad.
