I had a nice easy run this morning in this fantastic weather we are having. It's  in the 60s, a bit humid and breezy.  Nice enough to get a good sweat.  Looks like it rained last nigh, the roads are wet with small puddles here and there. It's already Thursday.  The week is flying by.  They always seem to fly by these days.  All the moments pass like a bullet train on a long stretch of track.  It becomes difficult, sometimes, to focus on any one thing for too long before it is left behind like all the other stationary objects.

I'm feeling pretty good today. Ran 3.5 easy, couple quick fartleks in there and that felt very good.  My right-upper-outer thigh is still bothering me.  It doesn't feel like an injury or even muscular.  It feels a little like the stress pain I feel in my neck sometimes. Like it's tendons or nerves, inflammation, that sort of thing.  I can't stretch ( Read more... )

How's it going?

I'm doing well. I'm running pretty smoothly.  Little bit of (pain? stiffness?), not sure which, in my upper-outer-high thigh area.  Doesn't feel like a muscle.  Feels more like tendons or nerves or something like that.  Sort of like the pain I have in my neck-upper shoulder area.  Like a pinched nerve or something.  I can run on ( Read more... )

Running again feels really good.  That layoff after surgery did a number on me for damn sure.  I am having soreness in strange places - lateral thigh soreness in my upper right thigh, sorta between the thigh muscle and the frontal glute.  Not painful, just a strange place to have soreness. I had a few good runs these past few days. Short, slow, easy runs - a couple three milers and a couple of two and half millers.  But felt great anyway.  It was like medicine in an IV shot directly into my veins and cured me instantly.

Ok so I had a couple of short runs Saturday and Sunday and felt pretty good.
