This not reading my flist thing is not working out for me - I miss you all entirely too much - so I'm gonna...stop that now. Um, by which I mean I'm gonna start checking LJ again. Which I can do because I am now less sick and more caught up with school work (not healthy or caught up, but making progress in both areas). Woo

The amount of Castiel hate I've encountered in the SPN fandom over the last few days is bumming me out. :(
Cas can be an asshole but he isn't any worse than Dean and Sam who are frequently idjiots (or, ya know, total douchebags sometimes) too. I guess I wouldn't find him interesting if he was too nice. Also, I love his evolution towards becoming more human w/Dean's influence. I kind of can't fathom finding him boring (he has way too many layers for that, imho). I hate SPN's mytharc (although I love Mark Pellegrino and would like to see him show up more) but as individual episodes I'm really enjoying this season so far.
Well, at least people's dislike of him disproves the theory that fandom only hates on the new female characters.
I don't know exactly what happened at the end of Robin Hood (as I don't watch it) but I did notice that your reaction was pretty much everyone else's reaction too.
YAY figure skating. :)

Heh, I see some Castiel hate, but my flist is pretty filled with love for him.
I totally agree that Sam and Dean can be assholes (in fact, I've been pretty fed up with Dean for a while, which is another reason I haven't been as invested in the show). I don't think I'd want him to be too nice, either (I kind of like the idea of Angels not being so fluffy), but I feel like sometimes the show presents some of his less-than-great aspects as more "good" than they should be. And yeah, I don't know. I know quite a few people who disagree with me on the Castiel thing, so obviously there's something there that people connect with, but I just can't get into him. *shrug*
Heh, yeah. Though I think there are a TON more people who love Castiel than people who loved any female character on the show.
Robin Hood ended really strangely. S1 & S2 were a lot of fun, but S3 was very WHAT-worthy.
:DDDD I am so excited!!

I guess one of the things that bugs me is that they never really went back to the Jimmy possession issue. I like that in that episode, they made it seem very shady that Castiel possessed Jimmy again at the end of the episode, but it hasn't been mentioned once since then that he's hijacking this guy's body. Also, in this last episode when he blames Sam for "making the wrong choice", I feel like we the audience were supposed to agree with him, but it's not like Sam knew he was ( ... )

To be fair, the first two seasons kind of kick worlds of ass in the awesome department. I don't think anyone saw the... well... special coming in season 3. So we'll pretend it didn't happen, 'kay.
(I am mostly commenting because 1. I'M SORRY! and 2. ICON! And also so you have 90 trillion messages from me in your inbox. I'm sort of tempted to message you on facebook too, but I will resist!)

S1 & S2 totally make up for the WTF-ery of S3.
*pets your pretty icon*
Ahahah, I could totally send you messages on LJ, email, facebook, twitter and last.fm. Yay online communication!

You could. AND if you were ever actually ON AIM, you could IM me too. But for some reason very many of my friends FAIL at AIM.

AIM is stressful for some reason!

No, no, I don't hear Kevin there at all. Castiel's voice bothers me (as does Dean's) because I can tell they're purposely lowering them to sound more gravelly and menancing I guess, but it's just annoying. But you can hear the stupidity in Kevin's voice, lol.
I'm totally with you though. While season three was my favourite, season four, I completely hated and I just ready to watch season five and hate it and not care, but just be whatever, but season is really good so far, this week's episode, I loved. I'm excited that they're getting so much back on track. I like Castiel, I think. I know I don't dislike him and he's never done anything to annoy me. I think he's cool, but some of the things the writers/Dean do to him piss me off. I've actually hated Sam for...awhile now. I stopped hating him recently, but I still dislike him a lot, and he'll never be fully on my good side again.

Both of their voices bother me, too. I hate that affected "I'm so manly and badass" voice...especially with Dean now because it didn't used to be like that. Haha, and it was just this one scene and imagining I didn't know who the voice was coming from, Castiel totally sounded like Kevin to me.
S3 was when I started to care less about the show, but I really didn't like S4, so it's exciting to find myself enjoying some episodes again. Heh, I've actually grown to like Dean less as the show went on, though I've been liking him better lately, too. Oh, Supernatural: always doing something to piss off your fans. ;)
I'm crossing my fingers for S5, though!
