Thirtieth Ink Drop [Action]

[Today was a good day.

It was moderately sunny, not too cold, and the wind was just right. So, Miyabi was bouncing her way toward the plaza happily, singing a little song in Japanese to herself. She had just finished a fresh batch of paintings and was going to spread them around the plaza for people to see.

And this time, she was truly proud of ( Read more... )

[A girl dripping with water, you say? Well, Katara happens to be walking along the riverbank, talking with Sona who... makes a surprisingly good listener, once you get to know her... and begins to approach the other girl.]

--well, yes, I know that. But that doesn't mean that--

[Blink, blink, stopping short now as Miyabi comes into view.] Hey - are you all right?

[Miyabi didn't notice Katara until she spoke up, still getting the water from her dress and making sure the trapped mallet wouldn't try to leap away while she stood. She's a bit irritable still, but cooled off a good amount after taking out her righteous poncle fury on the assailant of her precious art.

Who's getting a foot slammed down hard on it as it tries to leap away.]

Yep. I'm doing just fine. [Grind, grind.]

Uh.. [OK, struggling against a... blanket? Is a little weird even by Luceti's standards.] Maybe I can help you out with that...

[And without bothering to explain what she means, Katara bends the water off of Miyabi and all her various... wet things, and sends it back into the river.]

[Because he can't help but see that waterspout--- from far enough away that it takes him a while to curiosity himself over totally long enough NOT to break time and space -- not that he recognizes her, right away.]

...everything alright?

[By the time he does arrive, Miyabi was laying out her cap on a rock to dry and running her fingers through her hair as if to comb it. The little bundle of tightly wrapped parchment was held down by a heavy rock, though it was still wriggling here and there.'

When Ginko speaks, she turns with a blink, then a smile. She recognizes the voice more, but the face and name come back after a moment or two.] Oh, ah--Ginko? Eh...I'm all right.

[No, she's not, she's frustrated, wet, and kind of cold.]

Are you sure? [zeroes in on that wriggling bundle. What DO we have here?]

...sounded like quite the ordeal.

Eh...

[She opens her mouth to perhaps complain a bit more, or reassure him that she was fine - just cold and wet - but her eyes followed where Ginko was looking. Miyabi glowered at the bundle, which immediately seemed to sense the fury boring into it from those eyes, and stopped moving.]

Just a little troublemaker.

[Zoro is actually sitting on the riverbank beneath the bridge when the little golden light goes hopping across it...Followed by a glowing white mallet. ... :|a Huh.

He's just opening his mouth to call 'Uh, look out' when-whoops, too late-said mallet whacks the light and it turns into a familiar girl. Who falls into the river on the other side of the bridge. ...Huh.]

[He follows the next goings-on with interest, keeping unobtrusively out of the way (though he does get showered by the watersprout) and finally grins at her sopping wet, spitting angry triumph.]

Show it who's boss.

[Hope you enjoyed the show, Zoro. Miyabi had to also had to tackle, wrestle, and coil the damn thing up in her scroll. She jerks a little when she hears the sudden voice, and zips around to face Zoro.

Oh, hey. 8D! Miyabi's rage melts away into a flustered look as she laughs nervously.]

Ah...eheh! I-I didn't think anyone else was around. Oh, I'm sorry I got you wet, Master Zoro!

[He handwaves, dismissing it. The Straw Hats usually live on a ship, they get inadvertently soaked all the time.] Don't worry about it. [pause, and a slightly perplexed look] ...And I'm nobody's 'master'.

[Then he actually walks closer, casting a curious look at the mallet, still wriggling in the scroll.]

What is that thing?

[Sokka is just... watching Miyabi go buy with that mallet all wrapped up. Although he has no idea it's a mallet.]

Miyabi, you went hunting? [Perring in closer.] Can we eat it?

[She scowls, still wet and highly irate. Also you should know better than to ask her that kind f question.]

I don't hunt, Sokka. I don't eat meat or fish, just fruits, vegetables, grains, and other stuff. ...And I don't think you want to eat this, but you're welcome to try.

[Maybe she finally saw the light. And being wet isn't an issue. Good day to swim.]

Really? Well, if you want me to take it off your hands...

[Yeah, because everyone goes swimming in their clothes. It's all the rage in Nippon. But Miyabi's smirking and holding out the tightly bundled up mallet, who is wriggling and squirming inside its confines.]

I don't think you could handle it, but here. I do need a place to keep it, after all... Just don't let it get free and hit you, Sokka, or you'll end up my real size.
