Apparently pigeons have the ability to judge beauty just as humans do, so say Japanese researchers from a university.  These birds can tell the difference between what the researchers thought were good and bad paintings.

Just picked up a new manga title at the local rental shop: Kaiyorihito Kaiyorishiki Vol. 1

Master/Servant relationship; boys in school uniforms; a cross-dressing schoolboy; murderous substitute teachers... I believe there is a sister somewhere in the story too.

Finally!  Caught the Japanese movie 'Hero' starring hirsute-blessed actor Takuya Kimura as a lawyer.  I was torn between watching 'I Am Legend' and 'Hero' but found the perfect solution to getting mileage out of the entertainment.  Whenever zombies appeared, I would change the channel to 'Hero' and watched eye-candy at work in the law court and the ( Read more... )
