I was feeling really down the day after the competition. Honestly, I barely wanted to go to school, but I knew that being depressed wasn't much of an excuse to miss work. In fact, most Japanese teachers never miss work unless they're dead, it seems.

I just learnt that the Recontracting Conference isn't next week, but the week after!! When did they change the dates on me?!! CRAAAAAP!! Now I have to cancel and rebook the hotel, uncancel all the eikaiwa classes, and basically reschedule and replan everything. I just gotta announce how happy I am because today the school installed a broadband network in the teacher's room! It totally squashes the previous clunky, unreliable wireless internet that disconnects you after 30 seconds of inactivity.
