January: Mr. Blue Sky [Wall.E] festivids

February: I Shall Be Free [The Shawshank Redemption]

June: Your Ghost [Supernatural] Sweet Charity auction vid

August: Tiny Dancer [The Sound Of Music] vividcon Club Vivid entry

September: Anomie [Sherlock BBC]

December: festivids mostly done so it totally counts.

My favourite video this year (of my own):
I'm torn between Mr. Blue Sky and Anomie. I like them both for very different reasons. Mr. Blue Sky is joyous and bouncy and represents me vidding with the "I'd like to buy the world a coke" side of my brain. Anomie was very much the flip side of that and although it is about BBC Sherlock it is also about some fairly personal issues of mine to do with social situations and a particularly crappy time in my life when I was isolated and alone in London. I think I managed to do a decent job with both the visual and metaphorical layers.

My least favourite:
I really struggle with this question every year. On the one hand I'm not unhappy with any of this years vids. The ones I AM unhappy with are languishing unloved on my hard drive where I occasionally poke them moodily before moving on to something new and shiny. When push comes to shove though I guess Your Ghost is my least favourite. It was an auction vid and although they have proved invaluable to me for getting me off my arse and finishing vids I have a slight disconnect with this one I feel I just missed my aim a little.

Most successful video:
Taking into account comment count, download hits, streaming etc on Youtube it's a close run thing between Mr. Blue Sky and Anomie. I was blown away by the response to Mr. Blue Sky when it was posted anonymously when festivids went live.

Video most under appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
Tiny Dancer was a Club Vivid premiere and as such it was posted at the same time as so many fantastic vids that it got a little lost. I don't think any of my vids are under-appreciated as such, this one just doesn't quite reach my "usual" standard. (That came out more arrogant than I meant)

Most fun video to make:
Not that I ever have "fun" vidding these days but Tiny Dancer was the least like having root canal work done. I liked revisiting an old favourite source and putting it with a polar opposite song choice. It is so counter to how I usually choose vidsongs and it really took me out of my comfort zone. So as for it being under-appreciated, you know what, face. Bovvered.

Hardest video to make:
I Shall Be Free was the most painful to make but I am grateful to have finally got it done as it has been on my to do list for longer than I care to admit. As an added bonus Kid Beyond left me some lovely feedback so it's all good.

Video with single sexiest moment:
An upcoming assignment has several sexy moments, too bad I can't talk about it.

Biggest vid fail
Failed yet again to complete the Carnivale vid and the Tipping the Velvet vid.

The things I've learnt this year:
Vidding remains an important part of my life even if the output is reduced. You see that gap between February and June, that was me having a life and going on nice walks in the beautiful British countryside with my better half so I can't feel bad about that.

Things to work on in 2011:
It really should be possible to make half a dozen vids in a year. I would like to continue to maintain a balance between lighter and more involved vid projects.

Other vidding miscellany:
First Con. Ever. EEK YAY. VidUKon in April, in Cardiff.
festivids go live in January, very excited!

Vid projects I definitely want to get finished this coming year:
Other than my festivid commitment I'm making no promises but I do hope to have a vidukon premiere and a Club Vivid premiere. I have pretty strong Ideas for both mulling around. There is also a very personal and self indulgent project relating to my childhood/mental health that I would love to finally be able to get going on even if I never feel strong enough to post it.
