New Drink, Because Drinking Is Good!

So, this weekend we had a party. Well, someone else had a party, which we (several folks including marasca, llasram, chrysoberyl, and fizrep) attended. Something like that. In any event, as occasionally (read: always) happens at our parties, there was some (read: lots of) drinking involved. Most of which involved lizature's favorite substance, Hard Liquor.

Somehow, I KNEW, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you would be the first to comment here. Hard liquor loves you, Liz. You know it.

if hard liquor loves me than why is it so mean to me. It's by far the most dysfunctional relationship I've ever been in. It's really sad when you can't be with the one you love.

Hard liquor is a firm believer in the "tough love" theory. Sometimes ya gotta hurt the ones you love.

Aside from this being a fine entry with neat recipes... I didn't know Nessa was on LJ! Neat! Hi!

Strawberry schnapps sound nasty to me, but I bet it would be good with cherry. Sort of along the lines of my Cherries Jubilee shot idea.

She figured that chocolate covered strawberries are super-yummy, therefore cacao and strawberry schnapps might do the same. What the heck, I'll give anything a try. Sounded logical, after all.

As a side point, angledge called us that evening from Scotland. I'm surprised I remember that point. I'm not surprised that I can't remember our conversation.

I called pretty early in the evening - around 6:30 PM your time. You couldn't have been THAT drunk; you had just walked in the door from dinner. But yes, I'm doing fine.

Is there really such a thing as strawberry schnapps? 'Cause, if so, the Flaming Ladybug Butt sounds amazing.

Well, I'll be honest and say I don't know if there is a strawberry schnapps or not, but I figure, what the hell, there's banana, blackberry, blueberry, peppermint, and bundles of other schnapps; how hard could it be to make strawberry?

Okay, not all our drinks. There was that time I mixed Rumpelminz in Coke. That was an experiment gone horribly wrong. Spare yourself the agony. Yeeeeeeeech.

I think I was the unfortunate victim of that experiment. Even hammered, I could tell it was Just Not Right.

And on a completely unrelated note, I wish all of Edinburgh would run out of leftover Bonfire Night fireworks. PLEASE let me sleep ...

Me and Steve were actually talking about this last night, trying to figure out what would go well with Rumpleminze since I can't drink it straight. We decided that maybe mixing it with Godiva Chocolate liqour might be yummy, like a peppermint patty. Going to have to try that sometime..but thanks for the word of warning.;)
