Left work this afternoon and realised the radio was playing the Hallelujah chorus! However got to mum's feeling bit apprehensive about being unemployed. 2 phone calls to my new boss later and I have a start date of 2nd Nov. So 2 weeks R&R then new job. Go me!

The TV channel Dave not only shows old programmes but apparently old adverts too. Twice last night I saw an advert for Milky Way chocolate that I haven't seen for about 20 years. Why is that after a week of killer headaches, low blood pressure, low blood sugar, intermittant nausea, poor concentration and dizzyness being told by the Doctor that 'its just a virus go home and rest' makes me feel like I was wasting his time? Doesn't make the headache go away though.

Today I got a new job, (yay) which will be working in Sheffield doing community nursing working Mon-Fri, normal office hours. The upshot of this is that I should be able to have a life again and not miss everything ever due to being on shifts. Battled to work through a flooded Heeley. Now I now that Heeley floods regularly but I've never seen it that bad (Iknow I wasn't here 2 years ago) and anyway surely that would mean the council put more effort not less into keeping the drains clear. Obviously not.

I am a government employee as I work for the NHS, I live in a different town to the one I work in, in fact my commute is significantly longer than that of Keith Vaz. I wonder what would happen to me if I tried to claim thousands of pounds of tax payers money for a second home by my place of work.
