This is a slightly crazy cat lady post but... fuck it. I don't care.
On Saturday we had to take our wonderful cat Spinky to the vet to be put down. On Tuesday he seemed to have hurt his front right paw and by Thursday he was completely unable to move that leg at all. The vet did tests on Thursday and concluded that he probably had a brain tumor and ( Read more... ) -
Food question
I've just realised today that my favourite meal of the day is breakfast - I think because on work days I'm up so early I barely have the time or energy to do more than shove some toast in my mouth, so days when I can have even just some scrambled eggs means that I've had a somewhat leisurely morning... I completed the Race for Life on Saturday in about 42 minutes, which I was pretty pleased with because we had to walk a lot of the way round the course because there were so many people - at one point, we actually stopped still because there was such a bottleneck! I wrote a letter to my ex-flatmate (in fact I wrote several) but I haven't posted them yet. I'm still not sure if it's a good idea or not. I bumped into her on Sunday and we were able to have a nice casual chat and in August we're going with some other friends to visit a mutual friend in Chesterfield so I definitely won't send a letter before then ( Read more... ) -

I've had an email from the MA administrator at UCL about course choices for next year - not to definitely choose what I'd like to do, but to gauge interest so they know what courses are likely to be viable. I chose these two:

Day 22 -> a website
I feel like saying this really does mark me out as the liberal middle class sort of lefty that I am, but I think the website I use the most and have a deep love for is the Beeb's. I watch TV shows on it (in fact it's almost the only place I watch TV), I listen to the radio on it, I check the weather and news, I search for recipes on it... I love it ( Read more... )
