I've been having a lovely quiet holiday mainly involving some cooking, reading magazines and books, lots of Yuletide and then the busy of helping my parents with a New Year's Day party. I’m home after a good Thanksgiving that involved lots of time with family, some cooking and shopping. My sister wasn’t doing great but she’s starting a new round of meds and chemo which hopefully will help and get her out of the difficult limbo we’ve all been in. Day 6 was about leaving feedback on fanfic and so I spent a good part of the night watching figure skating and reading Yuletide fics. I hadn't had time to really dig into the archive due to family and work, but I was able to yesterday which was a treat.

My snow day has mainly been spent working on fact-checking, drinking tea and trying not to get sick. I'm so glad that I traveled yesterday and was able to hermit today. Tomorrow I should be finished with my work and then can enjoy the snow day with reading and writing. I'm so happy for another chance to do the Snowflake Challenge.

It took before my last day of break but I seem to have caught the cold that my family's been passing around all holiday. Also yesterday, I slipped and fell which means its not easy to know which aches are sick and which are I fell down.
