I always check my local humane society's website to check out the cats. I don't know why I do - I cannot have another cat, I just always look. Sometimes the stories on there about the cats and how they came to the shelter make me sad.

A seventeen year old cat is up for adoption because her owner could no longer care for her. ;/

Actually, it's the first full-time, year-round job with benefits I've ever had.

So, I have been wondering how I can make a fun "cat tower" for Tonka -- they're rather expensive at petstores ($60+), and I haven't had any luck on Craigslist -- then it occured to me the other day ... I can put together some cardboard boxes and cut holes in them ( Read more... )

LOL. I am just convinced this is the way a raw fed cat operates. After speaking with the folks on rawcat and rawdogs, I'm done being a nervous-nancy! Anyway, he poo'd - it was normal, and everything's fine. This is just the way he operates, I guess. I'm glad I'm feeding so well that he expels so little. LOL! :)

I got some Kittymalt for Tonka. He really, really hates it - and I can't mix it in food -- so I have to put it on his nose or paw, and he shakes it off in disgust and huffs in the corner for awhile. The bad thing is that the stuff is really liquidy and sticky, and when he shakes it off, it gets everywhere - including on him. So now parts of his ( Read more... )
