A little bit of info on Leeds Castle - it was under royal ownership from the time of Edward I [1278] to the time of Edward VI [1552] and was usually used by the queens. It had a few other owners, the most famous being the Culpeper family. They are known over at this side of the Atlantic for being a huge part of the early history of Virginia. The ( Read more... )

I just checked my library account on the NYPL site and I have 13 [13!] reserved items waiting to be picked up: 5 DVDs, 5 CDs, and 3 books. How? OK, I know how but I didn't think they would all within a week of each other.
