[Crackplot] Teen Ager Spring Dance! Woo!

Mar 13, 2010 14:17

Genevieve has been plotting with her friends - and talking them into doing things. The best part was when Warren said he would make snacks, and she had thrown her arms around his neck and kissed him in impetuous gratitude. Part of her was hoping for a chance to dance with him, at one point or other - to make up for their false start at that ( Read more... )

Nina's currently standing in a corner, looking awkward. This music is old to her, so she feels a little out of place. However, she's still looking around for anyone she might know.

Unfortunately, it's not a person she knows who approaches her, but he looks nevertheless like a pleasant young man.

"You look lost."

[This is how he currently looks like: pam-pam!]

She smiles at the stranger and shrugs. "I guess I am--this feels like a weird party. I mean, no offense to the person who started it, but the music isn't exactly modern right now."

He arches an eyebrow.

"Very true. Although if this party were shaped by my taste in music, there wouldn't be a soul around here, most probably."

"But I'm rude. Actually, wrong start. I'm Adrian."

Tsuzuki found a flier on the kitchen table as he was cooking chocolate chip pancakes (or what resembled them) the morning of the party. "Wow! A spring dance? Count me in!" he cries. "I wonder if Duck and Wendla and Madame Margot will be there."

Later that evening, after finding a white tuxedo in his closet and putting it on, he heads down to the ballroom...

And as he enters, a bit of a change takes place: he's a few inches shorter and his shoulders aren't quite as broad, and his voice will be a tad higher-pitched when he speaks, but he's not a whole lot different from the bouncy, cheerful fellow with the comforting air of darkness about him. Whoa, is Ariel at it again? he thinks. Well, this way, I get to be eighteen again and enjoy it this time...

Is it? she wonders. But who else would have those lovely eyes! She curtsies elegantly. "Monsieur Tsuzuki?"

He smiles broadly as he approaches and bows deeply to her. "You got it, milady," he says. "I almost didn't recognize me either... But you look wonderful!"

She smiles a coquette's smile. Oh yes, this one is temperamentally much closer to her theatrical days than to being the dignified Lady Blakeney. "Thank you. I would not have known you either but for your eyes."

Iggy's standing in a corner, wings folded tightly behind him.

He's not expecting anyone to wander up and talk to him, beyond the occasional hello anyway, so he's here to enjoy the music and the food.

Chinese snacks were a lot better fresh. Thanks Warren!

Silly Iggy and his low expectations! Of course people will talk to him.

"Hey," Zhane offers after a moment. "Glad you came. You having a good time?"

"Yeah. I've never been to a party before." He grins a bit. "It's ... different."

"It is - they used to have them at the hotel, but it wasn't like this either."

Shilo's hanging around by the stereo, picking at some potstickers and poking a balloon around with her foot. She's watching the other people in the room, not really used to parties and unfamiliar with the music, so now she's not really sure what to do with herself.

It won't take Genevieve long to go see her friend. She worries about Shilo. She wanders over with a plate full of yummy things made by her boyfriend. "Did you try any of the treats?"

"Yeah," she says, holding up her little plate. "They're good. Warren's a good cook." Or so she assumes. She's never had Chinese food before.

She grins. "He is." And a good everything else too. "I'm so thankful for your help - it was really fun to organize the party, wasn't it?"

Andros is wandering around the ballroom, observing mostly though he's keeping an eye on the stereo from a distance to make sure that it continues to work properly. The party atmosphere makes him miss Ashley, though he's kind of giving up on seeing her again.

At one point or another, a best friend is going to wander by and nudge him. "Hey. Why so serious?"

He shrugs, he's glad to see Zhane though. "I don't know. I just miss everyone back home, you know?" Especially Ashley, and Karone.

Zhane nods. "Yeah. It's nice to have friends here, but sometimes, home's home. I know."
