Genevieve has been plotting with her friends - and talking them into doing things. The best part was when Warren said he would make snacks, and she had thrown her arms around his neck and kissed him in impetuous gratitude. Part of her was hoping for a chance to dance with him, at one point or other - to make up for their false start at that Christmas party. But mostly, she wanted to make something good and fun, happen for every one.
So the conversations were had, friends were recruited. All five of them scoured the mansion's wardrobes and empty rooms in their search for helpful items. They found tapes and discs. They found a stereo, which was not fully functional, but the boys got it working, somehow - and programmed to shuffle discs all night. The girls found streamers and balloons in the magic cupboard and had a blast blowing them - it had been fun to do that with Shilo, a reconnection of sorts. Then, Andros and Zhane helped with decorating the ballroom - it was impressive to see them both lifting the disco ball and hooking it to the ceiling. For that, they owed Iggy - Zhane had wandered in one day, grinning, and had given the winged boy all the credit for finding the ball. That had of course called for a thanking visit and a personal invitation, and more help with the party. Organizing the party had been, all in all, a series of pleasant surprises - Genevieve was feeling excited and happy about it.
In the process of their work, an old man came in, observed them, smiled and left. It was odd, but not stranger than any other occurrence at the Mansion, so very little was said about it1.
Besides, the gang was too busy with spilling flyers everywhere the morning of the party, that said:
Spring Dance!
Where: The Ball Room
When: Tonight
Every-one is invited!
And then the music was playing - something from the sixties, swingy and danceable, though later in the night, more modern tunes were scheduled to play. The disco ball spun slowly, the lights reflected gently on the walls, there was dim light, tables with food (Chinese snacks, curtosy of Warren, and random things brought by Iggy) and drink brought over from the kitchen. The room looked festive and inviting.
[OOC: Crackplot!Party!Post! So! Like it says, it's a party, everyone is invited. However!
1You got it, the Merlin meddled again. The crackplot will have no effects on teenaged puppets (by which we mean, those below 13 or under 20), or their equivalent, in the case of non-humans/those with different age systems. However, anyone older than 20 and younger than 13 (or equivalent) will be re-aged to anywhere in that bracket, at the typist's discretion. The effects of the crackplot are intended to last only for the duration of the evening. Please ask the Merlin's typist if a different effect is desired (yes, that also means Genie's typist XD).
Special thanks to fellow typists who graciously agreed to loan Iggy, Shilo, Warren and Andros for the post. ^^]
