Melou hasn't been very available recently. The only reason he's had to spend any time in public was that he was looking for Hisoka, and it's been a while since he finally accepted that his friend is gone. He's spent most of the past few weeks either shut up in his room or out in the woods, deliberately avoiding the paths. It meant he ended up ( Read more... )

Well, here's someone who isn't flapped one bit about Hisoka being gone. Call her heartless, she shan't care.

If Melou wants to have some sense talked into him, he can find Anita in her regular watch spot, out on the porch, bundled in an aviator bummer and staring out to the grounds.

Melou would like you to know that he doesn't need any sense talked into him. Because he is being totally sensible.

He's heading outside, and seeing Anita makes him feel irrationally angry and desperately clingy at the same time. He stands some distance away and stares at her moodily.

It's a feeling Anita can understand. She's lost a lot of people too - though with Henry and Lucivar gone, with Jaenelle gone, Hisoka has become the least of her worries.

She can feel him staring at the back of her head, and she says, without turning around, “If you got something to say, Melou, spit it out.”

She's glad he's safe, though.

Melou snorts. "Why would I want to talk to you?"

He's in a bad mood, so he's going to go around insulting all the people he cares about.

Of course, Utena doesn't know that much of Hisoka as much as you did, Melou.

But she's still gonna worry about you.

Because she's kind and kind of stupid.

Melou's wandering around the Mansion, because he's angry and it's making him restless. The moment he spots Utena, he goes into arrogant dick mode.

"Utena," he says, packing an impressive amount of rudeness into the one word.

He's going to be even more of an ass than usual. We are so sorry.

I'm curious: who's the lady in Utena's icons?

Because apparently, that is all Melou knows how to act around one of the few people that can stand him. She's going to ignore that, because she cares for you.

"Melou.. you don't look well."

Charlotte Free, a tumblr-girl turned actual model. Also, I'm pretty much convinced she's Utena in RL. :| (She's cute like a pixie, but still looks... rough.)

"I'm fine," Melou says. It is a lie. An enormous, enormous lie.

She's so pretty *___*

Jack likely knows about Hisoka's disappearance due to his work on the Night Watch, and it's irked him a bit, since it's coming when he's had to cut back due to his ...medical situation. And eventually, he's going to be on leave for the last three months of his... confinement.

He'll be coming from the kitchen, cup of herb tea in hand, moving a bit slower and with more care than usual. And despite the black, loose-cut shirt with a Byron collar that he's wearing, it's getting trickier to hide his condition.

"I was gonna ask 'Did your dog die?' but I think I've used that one before," he twits. "Maybe 'Did your horse run away with your girlfriend,' but I think that was a bad western song."

No violence, plz, though Melou can certainly snipe at Jack about his, hm, condition... >.> <.

Melou puts on a long-suffering, why-do-I-put-up-with-you expression. "Why are you talking to me?"

He wouldn't have been violent towards Jack anyway ^^

"Just being my usual friendly, annoyingly cheerful self," he says, incorrigible, grinning as if he were doing that on purpose. "If I wasn't chatting with anyone I clap eyes on, there'd be something horribly wrong with me," he says, with a look of mock horror.

"There is something horribly wrong with you," Melou informs him.

He might find an unfamiliar pretty face, perhaps in the main room, a girl in a white minidress over white leggings, sitting very straight on an armchair, as she reads a biography of someone by the name of Sir Thomas More. She's rather wrapt up in it, but she's likely easy to interrupt.

She's quite welcome to be hit on: she's gentle and polite, but she can be *very* firm with certain types.

Melou's walking through, and he's a little curious when he sees Somni. He's been at the Mansion for long enough that he doesn't run into new people every day. He's feeling even less social than usual, so he doesn't speak to her, but he does stare at her for longer than is really polite.

She's not the most socially adept herself, aside from the practiced politeness she was taught while she was a dinery server. But she'll sense the gaze on her and look up at him. "Were you watching me?" she asks, plain and up front, but not confronting him, her voice almost preternaturally calm.

"No," Melou says, though he's obviously lying.

Well, Melou, if you’re looking for a brawl, Johnny might be your man. He’s been working hard on fixing the bar, but he’s also very frustrated with the way things are going, and a little bit more so because while he’s been made horny by Alcuin, he, well, now has pent up sexual energy that he can’t pass on Stocking (she rejected him, how rude), and… yeah.

He can be found sitting on a windowsill, cleaning his nails with his jackknife, and frowning at nothing in particular.

He is indeed looking for a brawl.

Melou's walking past, and he heads over when he sees Johnny looking all frowny, because he's in the mood to piss people off, and Johnny looks like a good candidate.

"Is something wrong?" he asks, as rudely as he can manage.

Johnny eyes the kid, sneers. “None o’ your fucking business, kiddo. Move on.”

This exercise might be characterized, indeed, as poking the dragon.

Melou smiles and looks incredibly, incredibly smug. "No."
