I'm sorry to hear you're in a rough patch right now. Remember that even the great ones have a bad day every once in a while. Ty knows you're the greatest mom so everything else after that is just icing on the cake.

Ya, it was just too much on my own. I don't even have 2 hours between his bed time and mine, and that's when I'd usually post. Now I tidy up, clean the kitchen, catch up a DVRed TV show, and go to bed. We'll see what I can manage, maybe I'll do a 2011 one, should be a great year!

I will be calling the swim class mom. But the truth is I really don't have friends here. I have a couple friends in Texas, another in Chicago, then my friends back home in Canada. Despite joining a half dozen meet-up/mommy groups, doing yoga, etc, I just haven't met anyone. I don't find it easy to make friends but I think I really need to make the effort. At least V has you, I am thankful for Skype though! I see Chris daily and my mom too.

Have you tried looking for a playgroup on meetup.com? When patrick was deployed, that helped alot to meet other moms and have adult interaction. Good thing is that your husband is pretty good about communicating with you ;)

I also did CYS when he was deployed...it was very nice...even if it is for an hour to just go grocery shop or get a massage! I trust them since they have strict regs on post...plus, Jacob was able to interact with other children his age.

Ha, that Easter face is the best!

I'm sorry this isn't working out like you'd planned. Can you reach out to his family, let them know that you need them? I mean, it may seem obvious to you and Chris that his family should reach out to you, but they're not military; maybe it's not even something they've considered?
