wild bees again

One of the things that really tripped me out when I went
to North India the first time was seeing all of the wild bee hives
hanging in the most random places.
When we think of wild bees, or any bees here in the States
its like instant fear. We call the exterminator.
In North India it seems wild bee hives
are just another part of the scenery?

I know Apis dorsata likes to nest high up and the nests are often clustered. My scientific brain thinks they are nesting other places too but these places are out where people are not going to be seeing them. My floofy brain thinks they are tuned into the beauty of these places they are picking. It looks to me like they have picked the best possible spot.
