- Therapy was good. Connections were made, and I know what's coming next week. I do love a plan.
- Curling is wonderful. 'My' team isn't playing this week, and there are only two teams that's I don't actively want to win, so it's a long series of me cheering on great shots by great teams without the tension of omg my team is down by two heading ( Read more... )

The Brier started on Friday, so I've been glued to the television. I moved a lot of furniture around so I can do homework, work, play with the dogs, and not actually have to leave the living room other than bathroom breaks. There's even a fridge in here so I've got drinks all set to go. I should probably put some food in there, too.

Tuesday was very Tuesday
There was school, a visit with a friend, some junk food for lunch. And then I tried to clean my office.
The effort didn’t last very long, to be honest. I had an internal debate, then external when I justified myself to the cat, but at the time I would rather have done homework than clean the office. That’s how cluttered it is at the moment.

Time used to have meaning, but not so much anymore.
I actually didn't mean to retire - I just meant to leave my office job and stay home while the plague swarmed over us, maybe get back to writing full time and put out some new books. …as the kids used to say. I have no idea if they still say that. I’ve reached that unfortunate age where phone upgrades confuse and frustrate me, I don’t understand slang, and my joints ache. Reclaiming my tubness (thanks, Mark)
Once upon a time I had a big old claw foot tub, Victorian, made of cast iron and coated in enamel. Moving it from one bathroom to another resulted (indirectly) in a renovation that cost around $120,000.00 (a topic for another day. Or days)(I’m very parenthetical today). I moved house last September and no longer have that tub, and I miss it.

Orange is not a nice colour
Where I live there are three colours in our Covid Recovery stages. In Red, everything is closed except grocery stores and gas stations. Everything. No gyms, no dentist, no spa, no salon, no retail. Nothing.

Admin, cleaning yadda yadda
I'm going to do some housekeeping on the flist -- there's at least ten journals on my list that don't update anymore because the owner has a new journal or has simply moved on or doesn't post to a fiction journal that they used for a nano.
