.“Frankie!” Gerard whined.
Frank raised a perfect eyebrow in his direction.
“My feet hurt!” He pouted.

Frank grinned.
“You’ll get used to it.”
He finished lacing his skates and rose to his feet.

Gerard looked up at him, his full bottom lip protruding invitingly.
Frank bit his own lip and looked away before he did something stupid like kissing the Doll senseless.

He turned to look back at the disheveled Doll. Thankfully his lip was back in place and no longer tempting the younger boy.

“Come on Bumble-Bee.” He coaxed, “It’s going to be fine, and you might even have fun!” Frank’s eyes sparkled in amusement.

Gerard sighed and pulled himself to his feet, he would have fallen over if Frank hadn’t been there to catch him.

“I’ve got you.” He said smiling at the flushed Doll.

“Now come on,” He tugged at the taller boy, “let’s go.”

Gerard sighed and allowed himself to be pulled towards the gate that led onto the ice.

There was barely anyone there, a couple of kids that looked about 7 and their parents but no-one Frank’s age.
Gerard frowned, if no-one was here, then who was Frankie trying to impress?
He bit his lip as Frank stepped out onto the ice, maybe they were going somewhere else after this?

Frank placed his hand on the small of Gerard’s back as he slowly stepped down onto the ice.
His long artistic fingers clung to the barrier as he slowly shuffled around the edge, dragging himself hand over hand, Frank gliding silently next to him.

Frank waited patiently until Gerard had come to a standstill.

“You ready to try more?”
Gerard’s eyes widened, but he slowly nodded.

Frank smiled.
“Cool.” He held his hand out to the older boy.
“Take my hand.”
Gerard’s eyes flickered from the boy’s hand to his that clung desperately to the barrier.

“Don’t be afraid,” Frank murmured, “You can still hold onto the barrier as well if you like?”
Gerard frantically shook his head.

“No, I,… I can do this.”
Frank smiled encouragingly at him, his hand still raised between them.

Taking a deep breath Gerard tentatively released his death grip on the barrier and reached out for Frank. Warm fingers slipped easily through his, holding him steady. Taking another deep breath, Gerard slowly began to unlock each finger that was still curled around the barrier, drawing his hand away, Gerard scrunched his eyes closed expecting the sickening feeling that usually accompanied falling.
Standing uncertainly, Gerard let out a heavy breath he hadn’t even been aware of holding.

Frank smiled as he watched Gerard stand.
“You’re doing great.” He whispered.
Gerard grinned and blushed.
Frank laughed, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
“See that wasn’t so hard now was it?”
His skin was warm compared to the Doll’s.
Gerard laughed.
“We haven’t even gone anywhere yet!”
Frank bowed slightly over Gerard’s hand.
“Well then sir, shall we proceed?”
Gerard laughed again and nodded.

Frank slipped his other hand around Gerard to place it on the Dolls hip. Standing together, they looked like they were about to begin dancing.
Gerard tensed.

“Relax,” Frank murmured. His voice ghosted over the Doll’s cheek. “It’s easier for me to help you like this, I don’t want you falling over and hurting that pretty face of yours.”
Gerard blushed and cleared his throat.

“Right, uh, shall we start then?”
Frank’s soft laughter danced across Gerard’s ear.
“Eager aren’t we?”
Gerard squeezed the small boy’s hand.
“Alright, alright, let’s get going.”

With Frank’s gentle encouraging murmurs Gerard slowly began to move forward, inch by agonizing inch. The warm reassuring hand on his hip and the mere presence of Frank at his side kept him going.

Frank watched Gerard as they slowly moved around the ice-rink, he noticed how beautiful the Doll looked, all flushed, nibbling on his lip in concentration. He could feel Gerard’s skin through his shirt, and he resisted the temptation to slip his hand under the offending material and feel if the Doll’s skin was as soft as it looked.

Frank smiled when the pale Doll looked over at him, cheeks flushed and eyes dancing.

“You’re doing great,” Frank murmured.
Gerard blushed.
“You ready for more?”

Gerard nodded slowly as Frank grinned.

“Good,” he slowed to a halt, “Now, I’m going to take my hand off your hip and move it so that were just holding hands,” he looked intently at Gerard, “Is this okay?”

Gerard nodded. He wouldn’t mention that he liked Frank’s hand on his hip. Noooo, that would be bad.

Frank nodded as well.
He moved his hand from the Doll’s waist and replaced his other hand.

Now standing side by side, Gerard wobbled slightly as Frank stood perfectly still.

“You ready to go?” Frank asked.

Gerard tried not to wrap himself around the smaller boy and whimper that no, he wasn’t ready to go, and would Frank please take him home!
Instead he nodded and gently squeezed the small boy’s hand again.

Slowly the two boys set out together, skates sliding across the ice.
Whenever Gerard wobbled, even slightly, Frank was there to hold him steady, not willing to let him fall.
“You’re doing fine.” He’d whisper each time, and Gerard would believe him.

Gradually Gerard’s confidence grew, their speed increasing with each passing minute. As they glided along, Frank gently let their hands slip apart, so intent on keeping up the steady rhythm Gerard didn’t notice until he was at least five feet away which was when he started to panic. He started to wobble, his arms stretched out before him and a strangled whimper fells from his lips before his feet slipped out under him and he fell backwards onto the ice.

He could feel the cold water seeping through his jeans and the ice pressed firmly against his back where his shirt had ridden up, but all he could do was lay there, the air forced from his lungs.

“Shit! Gee!” Frank called form behind him.

He could hear the familiar shick of Frank’s skates slicing through the ice as he drew closer.
The boy came to a halt and leaned over the immobile Doll, his face etched with worry and hair falling into his eyes.

“You okay?” he asked breathlessly,

Gerard blinked up at him.
“Shit, I’m so sorry, you were just doing so great, and I thought you’d be fine…” his voice trailed off as he gnawed on his lip.

“I’m really sorry.” He whispered.

Gerard stared blankly at him.
“Its fine, I just got scared that’s all,” he held out his hand, “help me up?”

Frank nodded frantically and clasped the cold hand of the Doll.

Smirking Gerard pulled Frank down causing the boy to yelp and collapse on top of him.

Placing a hand on either side of the Dolls’ head, Frank pushed himself up so that he was leaning over the boy. Their bodies aligned perfectly.

Frank pouted down at the Doll.
“Whatcha do that for?”
Gerard smirked.
“’Cause you deserved it?”

Frank could feel his hands becoming numb, but he didn’t mind. He chewed his lip ring and nodded sagely.
“You’re right, I probably did.”
Gerard scoffed.
“Alright, maybe not probably…”
Gerard raised an eyebrow at the boy.
“Alright, fine! I did deserve it.”
Gerard nodded smugly.
“Damn straight you deserved it.”
Frank laughed.
“How ever can I make it up to you?”

Gerard wrapped his arms around the boy’s waist.
“Oh, I’m sure I could think of something.”

Frank flushed and intently watched the Doll laying beneath him as he cleared his throat.
“Oh?”
Gerard nodded.
“First, you could take me away from here, because it is far too cold, next, we could go back to your place, put on a movie, drink hot chocolate and, sn- pile on the blankets, then,”

Gerard grinned as Frank arched a brow.
“There’s more?”

Gerard nodded.
“Then, you could massage my back as it is in a lot of pain, or you can play guitar for me.”

Frank stared down at the Doll.
More than anything he wanted to say he would massage the Doll’s back, to touch that pale skin, but he thought that Gerard was only joking so he pushed that idea far from his mind.

He smiled and nodded.

“Well sir, that is a fair list of demands, however, I think I could fulfill them.”

Gerard giggled at Frank’s tone of voice.

“Good.”
Frank smirked as he looked down at the boy.
“Uh, Gee,” Gerard raised a questioning brow, “you gonna let me get up so we can go?”

Gerard’s eyes widened and he quickly let his hands fall to his sides.
Frank laughed.

Slowly getting to his feet, Frank held out his hand for the Doll still lying on the ice.

“You coming?” he asked.

Gerard glared.
“No Frankie, I would much prefer to lay here on the cold ice, than go home where there is a heater, and blankets and coffee.”

Frank rolled his eyes and pulled the Doll to his feet.
Gerard squeaked and stumbled forward into Frank, bringing them face to face.

“Woah there,” Frank murmured, “I’ve got you.”
Gerard’s eyes flickered down to Frank’s lips then back up to the boy’s eyes.

“I know you do Frankie.”
He gently pulled himself from the small boy, hating himself as the distance between them grew.

‘Shall we go then?” He asked.
Frank nodded slowly and took the Doll’s hand. Together they slowly made their way to the exit.

Gerard’s skin was warmer than it had ever been before and Frank’s heart slowly melting.
