New kitty has been in quarantine since the threatened storms this past Tuesday night. He is perfectly content to be locked in the bathroom with his food and water bowls, a temporary litter pan and some toys. In the two + years that I have lived here, I've watched the family behind my house interact as a "unit". The mother does nothing to scream at her husband and 3 children. At work, we have 3 bathrooms; 2 for women and 1 for men. There is a woman who always waits until she arrives at work to do her "business". This would be bad enough if she weren't also morbidly obese. I'm talking BIG, as in over 400 lbs. It is bad enough it takes her almost 30 minutes to empty; it is even worse that the smell lingers for hours. ( Read more... )

Bought an automatic shower cleaning sprayer. That saves 5 minutes. Making lunch at night saves another 10 minutes. Cleaning the cat litter at night saves 10 minutes. How do I use all my saved time? Playing games on the computer before work. LOL

I expected the snow to start around 3am and be formidable by the time I got up for work. Instead, I was up at 5 and the snow only just started at 6:15. Unless it really picks up, I'm heading to work at 8 and taking a shovel to dig my way back into the neighborhood (they won't plow until the snow is completely over).
