Not quite a year after buying it, I'm laying my car to rest. The engine is shot and replacing it would cost more than twice what I paid for the car. So we can look at it like a rental car I had for a very long time. Not sure what I'm going to do now. There was a shooting in downtown Orlando yesterday. A guy that was laid off 2 years ago went back and shot up his old office building. He killed one person and injured several others. Crazy. I called my mom when I heard it was going on because she works at City Hall, but I'd actually forgotten that Casey was on a field trip at the Science ( Read more... )

We're home from our lovely Georgia vacation. I missed my house, my bed, my doggie, and my peace (had enough of 15 people talking to each other at once, sleeping in a loft that hovered over the busy living room, and bratty kids). This morning Casey and I went horseback riding with my aunt Lisa and 7 yo cousin Lily. We had a nice time, and there was some beautiful scenery to look at along the way.
