Fantastic Snark! I haven't read the later books - I'd aged out well by then - so I'm looking forward to the upcoming snarks, particularly Farewell, Dawn (aka Good Riddance, Dawn).

The WTFuckery in these later books is incredible. The early books were bad, but seriously it's like the drugs Ann and the Ghosties smoked got progressively stronger as the years went by.

You make a good point of how Stacey could have invited Char to attend the talent show as a guest. She was trying to sell it as a practice for the recital, but she could have said something along the lines of 'You'll see that performing isn't that big a deal. It can be really fun!' I get where Stacey's heart was, but she should know Char well enough to know performing just isn't her thing.

The thing with Dawn was that she wasn't acting like she was hurt. MA was but she was acting more like 'How dare you!' I'm sure it was her idea to go embarrass Stacey and MA was just bullied into going. What none of them seem to realise is what you said, they're not a good mix of people. I have that in my own family, where I don't get along with them because we share no interests. I avoid most family gatherings because they can be excruciating to be around people you share no interests with ( ... )

Ah, I wish the fight had gone on longer. Don't stop with Kristy and Dawn call the rest of them out on their crap. Except Mallory.

I'm probably in the minority about the party. She invited Claudia but no one else among their friends. There's no way they weren't going to be hurt by A) not being invited and B) that she invited Claudia but not the rest of them. How are they not suppose to be hurt by that? Claudia's at fault too.

Of course she does. In Kristy's mind someone who doesn't allow Kristy to control them is stupid.

All of this is going down after Wendy, right? What does it say that somebody I didn't really know prior to this is talking about the control freak tendencies of this "club"? What does it say when later on a friend is basically saying the same thing ( ... )

Yes, this was after Wendy. I'm not sure if Wendy saying the club was bullshit was because she was an outsider and may have been better equipped to notice the fuckery. Maybe some people are too close to situations to see them clearly.I feel like the girls wouldn't give a shit about not being able to pursue their own activities unless it directly affected them.

I've often wondered how this never happened even ONCE during the BSC's 34 years in the 8th grade. Maybe it has something to do with being stuck in that infinite time warp.

Also, "I hate her thirsty ass" had me laughing so hard I damn near choked on a grape.

I love Alt 2.0 (the dancing robot girl whose picture appears at the end of the story). She's from a game called Pop'n Music. Seeing her made this fabulous story even better!
