Hello, ladies! How is everyone? Things here are going okay though I don't know what I did to my neck because it hurts like a devil. My sleep schedule is still pretty screwed up so I was like 'Tie up your hair and snark!' I hadn't read this book before, it was way after my time, but Lordy loo, is it a daisy! All of this is going down after Wendy, right? What does it say that somebody I didn't really know prior to this is talking about the control freak tendencies of this "club"? What does it say when later on a friend is basically saying the same thing?

I realize the circumstances are a bit different. Wendy's probably still doing the same amount of babysitting she was doing before she was invited to sit in with the club. Wendy still has a life and can do what she still wants to do--I recall video game playing was her deal. She was pissed she had to quit in order to go to a meeting. Sad thing is Jessi shit all over that because she's not a video game person. We can remove video games and put in any activities these girls want to do. I want to dedicate more time to my writing, to my artwork, to a project, to ballet, etc, etc. Stacey's finally going to be able to get back the things that she couldn't do because her "friends" in a club are so controlling. I don't have to break my neck trying to get to Claudia's house at 5:30 because I want to chat with my boyfriend. I don't have to race over to a job because I want to go shopping instead, etc.

Yes, this was after Wendy. I'm not sure if Wendy saying the club was bullshit was because she was an outsider and may have been better equipped to notice the fuckery. Maybe some people are too close to situations to see them clearly.I feel like the girls wouldn't give a shit about not being able to pursue their own activities unless it directly affected them.
