I feel like I should post just to say I'm okay. I've been lurking a bit, but had nothing much to say. February has been very hard work, at work (both jobs), thanks to all manner of things getting postponed from January due to covid. I'm not yet out the other side, but I can almost see it coming. It's not been a good couple of weeks. I should be perked up that the pandemic does in fact seem to be ebbing, but instead I've had a huge wobble about office returns and such. Been talking to my boss, who is sympathetic and helpful, despite all the newspaper headlines about civil servants being forced back at gunpoint. So I'm trying to find some ( Read more... ) -

Midweek
I am feeling extremely Mittwoch-ish this Wednesday. Just a bit stuck and uninspired. There's nothing on my calendar all week (barring a possible tea-inna-park with a friend on Sunday if it's not raining), and work is both reasonably present and not all that exciting, as I'm in a setting-up-this-assessment-round phase at the moment. Well, now it's Christmas
Yes, I've picked up a late Yuletide pinch hit again. Truly, that's my way of celebrating. Though I'm working till Thursday, so not exactly taking breaks. No worries about that at all, almost anything I might have done has been cancelled, apart from a nice long yoga workshop this afternoon, so I may as well work. I've spent far too much of the last few days doomscrolling the omicron situation (which is impressive given that all the content is "this is a variant we are assessing, it's too early to say more").
