I had a very nice time in Bath, without my laptop so no posting. It was a good break, which I will hopefully write up at some point (I did culture! Art galleries, concerts, very silly theatre, a food tour...), but not this tired night. I am merely running through a load of meme questions and saying hello.
11. What are some things a house would need to have for you to purchase it?
Well, the one I have (a flat, admittedly) has a separate kitchen and a freehold, and those were fundamental. Another time I'd want a more separate kitchen, a bathroom with a window, and ideally a bit of outside space, like a balcony or small patio. But here we are, and I can't afford to step up further.
12. Would you ever go out in public wearing pajamas?
In a fire, sure. Otherwise, no.
13. Have you ever had a lemonade stand?
No, it's not a thing here. We did try a couple of selling-things-on-the-street stalls as a kid, but the suburbs are a terrible place for that, as there's no passing trade.
14. Do you think you look older or younger than your real age?
Younger, always. I have a baby face, even if it's getting wrinkly around the eyes now: round chin, small nose. I've never got into a place that needs ID when I'm illegal...
15. Where have you lived throughout your life?
Mostly in south west London postcodes, variously. I spent years in Exeter for university and out west of London for a bit. But I'm mainly a city woman.
16. Do you want any piercings?
Nope. Have none, want none. Poking holes in your body is apparently universal, but you lot are weird.
17. What’s your mouse pad look like?
Does *anyone* still have a mouse pad?
18. Have you ever been to a psychic/tarot reader?
No, though I've done a few online. Like anything predictive, you take what you want to hear and ignore the rest. I get a fair bit of woowoo stuff through yoga, and most of it isn't helpful, but sometimes you get a way of analysing things that helps. I quite like chakras as a system; they identify the areas I mainly struggle with in a couple of neat packages (third and fifth chakras, like a lot of people...)
19. How do you identify spiritually (do you follow a religion, what do you think about soul/spirit, etc.)?
I'm agnostic. Softening from atheism as I age, because it seems rude to deny all possible belief systems as wholly invalid when I know many people who get a lot out of beliefs. But I don't believe in any of it. We're just biology, nothing special.
20. Do you prefer your nails long or short?
Short. Mine break all the time and I have small nailbeds so long ones look weird and only ever come in ones or twos. Besides, I like to use my hands for useful things.
21. What are your favorite smells?
22. Do you still use a radio or just use your phone/computer for music?
23. What kind of socks do you prefer to wear?
24. Do you have any family heirlooms?
25. Are there any musicians you didn't like at first but grew on you?
26. Is there anything you used to love but now dislike?
27. Your favorite place to be aside from your home?
28. What is your favorite kind of tea?
29. Any old home remedies you use when you're sick?
30. What level of brightness do you usually keep your phone at?
