All Your Bases Are Known By Us

A Senior Judge has suggested that the National Database of DNA be upgraded to include the DNA of everyone in the country.  This could be another of those things which generally gets the High Court, & Judges in particular, into disrepute.   Not sure whether this is a 'personal freedom' issue or what.  Just not keen ( Read more... )

Frogs, Socks & Viruses

Last Day of January

Conservationists (et al) are considering re-introducing wolves to the Scottish Highlands.  Apparently Red Deer are almost at saturation numbers, they're already effectively preventing reforestation & affecting otherwildlife which would benefit from more tree cover.  And getting people up there to shoot them just isn't cutting ( Read more... )

Disappointed

Je suis désolée.  I tried to do the virtual tour of the Chelsea Flower Show only to find that the BBC have apparently upgraded something and I now have to be content with slightly-larger-than-thumbnail stills - one per garden.  Ah well, w00t for the BBC TV coverage.  Next week it's "Spring Watch".  Yay!
