I haven't written anything in a while! I have tons of ideas, but real life seems to be getting in the way; and then when I do sit down to write, nothing really comes out right. It's like the words are choking.

NORG simply bides his time, counting the articles of clothing on the floor and wondering how in the world two highly qualified SeeD cadets didn't notice him -- they must be highly distracted, he decides, and makes a mental note to tell Kramer to demote them.

He feels the orb flick from red back to blue; the magic dissipates, and he howls in disappointment.
3. Blood
After the third accident in the basement, NORG orders Dr. Kadowaki and Kramer to build him a pod; he can't be held accountable if students wander down here and try to attack him.
4. Cid's Butt
Kramer's babbling abount money again, and NORG wants nothing more than to give the man a swift kick in the ass -- but he can't go home, and he needs to invest this money in something soon before he loses it.

Kramer wipes something out of his eye -- is the man crying? -- and then turns back and says, calmly, "I understand you're upset about the loss of revenue, but we need to concentrate on the Sorceress."

It was always the same dream: teeth, out of the darkness. Ultimecia's castle is the first time he doesn't have nightmares as he sleeps; later, Seifer realizes that's because there, the nightmares were real.

"Restraint is for pussies," he says instead.

He likes the way the red design shows up on the grey coat, so he buys it on a whim; later that week he slugs Dincht in the nose for making a joke about his fashion sense, and stains the sleeve.

Cid told her to bind up her hair and just not talk much: if they didn't know she was a girl, they wouldn't make fun of her any more. It gave her a reputation -- cold, detached, anti-social -- but once she'd taken her hair down again, she appreciated the reputation even more, because she was a general now.

"Which one do you want?" Cid asked, as she pressed her fingers up against the shimmering tanks. "We need to choose the best one, so if one feels different than another, you need to let me know."
The first tank burnt her; the second buzzed slightly under her touch, as if it were alive. The third was cold, and soothing, and as her fingers numbed against it, she said softly: "This one."

"Again," she snaps, even though she is bone-weary and her sword is heavier than the sacred Goddesses. "I will master this."
Leo says nothing, but the pride and respect in his eyes gives her the tiny bit of strength she needs to continue.

She's standing in the queen's bedroom when it strikes her, like a knife, right through the heart -- she can't breathe, and she's trying to yell out for Crono, but her lungs are filled with water and it's so cold --

Companions are given special medical treatment to stop them from having what they term "accidents"; Inara's had it done, yes, but that doesn't mean she hasn't thought about it.

"It's almost as if you'd rather be with them than on this here ship with us," Mal says casually, but his eyes are anything but casual.

Men have offered her jewelry before, rings and beads and gemstones and nacklaces enough to drown herself in. Gifts have never tempted her -- but that's mostly because no man has ever offered her a small ship of her own and a good, solid pistol, which is all she really wants.

"Who d'you pray to?" Kaylee asks, curious, as Inara lights the incense carefully. "There're so many gods out there - which one's yours?"
