I haven't written anything in a while! I have tons of ideas, but real life seems to be getting in the way; and then when I do sit down to write, nothing really comes out right. It's like the words are choking.

There isn't much to her; she's all wind and bone and tooth and nail, and when hurt, she does not bleed.
2. Magic
What draws them all to Golbez is not words or promises: it is the scent of magic, ancient magic, permeating through the dark armor. They know the game, even before Golbez does; and yet they are drawn to it, like moths to a flame.
3. Strength
She is not the strongest of all of them; that title goes to Rubicante. Barbariccia prides herself, however, on her defenses: she depends on no cloak, or shell, or army of minions -- her strength is in her own hair, her own body.
4. Weakness
She is the very spirit of air itself, and her Tornado is a safe haven of power -- until the Dragoon, who can control the very air itself, comes along, and breaks it.
5. Home
She fills the Tower of Zot with monsters, level upon level, and plays with them: games of death and destruction. She can always find another pet.

In daylight, the lines on her face and body are strange, otherworldly; at night, when her powers sing at him, they are tattoos pointing him in the right direction: where to look, where to touch.

For years she wakes up mid-night, her heart pounding, feeling the slippery touch of Time Compression in her dreams -- and wondering whether this will be the time she wakes only to realize she's doomed the world in her sleep.

But she isn't the older-sister, not any more. "It might be important," he says, and reaches for it.

He's soaking wet and freezing when they bring him to her door, and Raine's first, completely irrational thought is, who the hell goes swimming in Winhill in January...?
2. Snowmen
She helps Ellone make a little Elle snowman, and a big Raine snowman, and one for Uncle 'Guna. When she comes back from the store, later, Elle has added two mystery people to the crowd; Raine realizes they're meant to be Ellone's mother and father, and doesn't know what to say.
3. Birthday Cards
"Happy Birthday to the... best brother I could ask for?"
Laguna's face turns bright red. "What?" he squeaks, trying to grab the card out of her hand. "It doesn't say that! I must have - I must've grabbed the wrong-"
"You didn't even open it, did you." She tries, and fails, to keep the smile off her face.

She always finds herself defending him to her neighbors, even though she thinks he's just as snnoying and immature and ridiculous and pig-headed as they do... doesn't she?

"I asked for a pen, not your girly-ass lipgloss," Seifer hisses, but he can't help wondering what Orange-gasm tastes like from Selphie's lips.

"You'll help," Selphie says, her eyes twinkling, "because I'll make sure you get kicked out of Garden for 'bad citizenship' if you don't."
3. discipline
Neither one has any patience, and Quistis predicts disaster on their first mission together; to her surprise, they make a remarkably good team, mainly because they're both so crazy that they keep each other in line.

There's fire in the background as he kisses her: heat everywhere, making the world shimmer around them, and he's pretty sure they're dead so why not? Her lips taste like gunpowder and orange chapstick, and Seifer decides suddenly that he wants to live.
