You might like this service.  One of the IT guys sent a link for a 'Do-Not-Call Registry' at work.  I registered because I am sick to death of telemarketers.  There is the US version (link was found on the Canadian website).  So I've submitted a list of companies who are not allowed to call me (newspapers, political parties, polls, charities, etc ( Read more... )

Mind you, it's a dubious honour, but I couldn't help laughing.  BL was listed as 'one of the scariest TaleSpin sites'.  The forum is pretty insulting towards Spinners, to put it mildly.  No sense of fun or creativity or joy.  Screw 'em.

I was really nervous going into the staff room where they were waiting.  But I went in and said, "Surprise!"  On the white board, someone had drawn a rough cartoon of me (I think!) with a box of "Halloween costumes" (I lend my stuff out) and the words "Movie trivia" (I'm the movie buff there).  And of course, Congratulations, Michelle -- 20 Years!

I'm pretty choked at Gaby (again).  Came to work on Xmas Eve (for a half-day, since the building closes at 2pm -- but Gerry (the boss) always lets us leave earlier at 1pm.  Since Janine (reception) and Evenna (who covers for her) were both on holidays, Gaby had to man the phones -- so guess who was asked to do the outbaskets?  I really had no ( Read more... )

Went to the Disney Store and bought a Baloo plushie (he looks more like the animated JB Baloo than my other Baloo's), which was a promotion for the movie's 40th anniversary.  Trouble was, he came with an ugly, skinny stuffed Mowgli attached to him with a plastic tag.  I can cut the kid off.  The price was confusing, though.  $19.50 for each or $25.
