I swear, I’m starting to wonder if I’ve been abducted by aliens who have me in some secret lab environment that looks just like Earth, conducting experiments on me to see just how much noise an introvert can take before they crack and go completely potty

Ever tried some high end earplugs/noise cancelling ear covers? They make pretty good one's these days.

My sister doesn't mind noise but she has to have complete darkness ... she wears a face mask.

The Army beat all of that out of me.

I have been wearing both earplugs and/or headphones at work. I'm just sick of having to do it.

sorry you are enduring all this....I wore earplugs to bed when I first dated Walter as he was an A+ SNORER!! OMG! I bet he could rival those leaf blowers! heh. but I swear, those ear plugs did the trick. They didn't cut it all out, but muffled it so I could nod off....he bought me a box of them from his work. I think there were 250 pairs in the box. I still have them...
